He undertook many investments to develop his property. He contributed in particular, to the reputation of his wines in England. The field was, then, bought by the brothers Péreire. They have exploited this exceptional site at its fair value. However, they would not benefit of enough time, to raise this wine among the elite (...)
(...) of the classification of 1855. Indeed, the wine was classified as' third thought ', even if he deserves, without doubt, a better ranking. They were, however, obliged to sell the property during the 1930’s crisis. Four families of the Bordeaux traders decided to buy the field in 1938, Sichel, Mähler-Besse, Ginestet and Miailhe. The Families Sichel and Mähler-Besse are still owners of the field today. The wines of Château Palmer are fine and elegant. The estate also produces a great 'second wine,' Alter Ego de Palmer, since 1998.
